Teen Miles?

Hi. I'm Leah & I've recently discovered that I'm an age aholic... Ok, let me explain. My father in law made a comment to me when we were there for Christ mas about how we have all aged. He said (paraphrasing here) that I can't deny that even I'm looking quite older since my wedding (in 03). I can't stop thinking about it.
Shortly after that I heard someone say that the "teen years" raising your children will put 20  (years) on your face. OMGAW!!!! It's seriously happening to me right before my eyes!! (or right around my eyes! ) Since hearing that lil life changing statement I have noticed tons of lines!. Crows feet, stress highway right between my eyebrows & now - laugh lines too!! I'm to young (39) to look this dang old!. So I am on a mission to find any reversing agents allowed by law. (ok, maybe even illegal!) :o"  So in my quest to look my age (what? 39ish is YOUNG PEOPLE!) I'm asking for any (Tested, Tried & True) products that you might have used to keep your youthfulness (just please no Yak Urine or anything of it kind!!) Any & all - ok, most any & some suggestions will be tested by yours truly (& any of you that wish to join me :)  for the alloted time & then I will report back w/ said results!! So, whatcha know of?? Yes, you back there w/ the glowing, very youthful complexion!! :)   lylas  LA

You make me laugh so hard. You are so uplifting to me. Thank you!!! I'm sorry I do laugh at your expense, but you make reality seem a litte ligther.

I love a couple of products you might want to check out - I have enjoyed them.

I do not like unnatural stuff - so you be the judge.

Carol's Daugther
Young Living Essential Oils and Cosmetics. Very nice.

I have links up for these sites on my blog. xox

P.S. Thanks for always passing by Windmills and Tulips and encouraging me with your comments.

And by the way, I think you look like your 35. xox

haha! I'm cracking up at this! I'm 35 and have an 18 year old (as you read over at my blog thank you very much) and I can vouch YES teens age us!! The 3 beauty regimens that I totally stick to everyday is washing my face before bed and putting on face lotion and using vaseline on my lips. I do this everyday no matter what. One other thing that I do is stay out of the sun. I am fair skinned and sunrays cause a breakdown in the collagen and I don't want that to happen too soon. These aren't magic but they do help a little. :o) A fellow mom of a teen.

Just stopped by to thank you for visiting my blog. We're probably about an hour or so away from where you live. I'm in your town fairly often and like shopping there a lot. My MIL lives in Tulsa.

I may be an Oklahoma Granny but I love the Twilight series. I'm on my way to pick up a copy of the new dvd today. It is being released today, right?

You're right between my son and my daughter in age so I really have no advice for you with the lines you see in your face. I see those of your age as young and beautiful just as God see us.

Come back and visit soon. I'd love to see you.

Blessings to you this weekend!

You're so funny!!! I have no advice or words of wisdom for aging. I'm just happy my mother blessed me w/ her oily skin. Oh wait I do have some advice...always wear sunglasses outside even if it's cloudy. I always have my sunglasses on to help w/ crows feet!!!

I see you're on twitter! I just started. Feel free to follow me and laugh while I try to figure it out!!!

ummm, what are you talking about, you look young! I am 52 and I have used Loreal revitalift stuff, one for AM, one for PM for a few years, but who knows if it has helped or not! Anyway, don't stress about it, you look young to me!

I us a ton of moisturizer and eye cream at night(every night). I've always used something on my face ever since I was a teen so hopefully when I'm old I won't look super old. You look young...
Love ya,
Jenn

I'd tell you to hope for acne but I don't think that's good advice. I'm sure that's 50% of the reason I'm still carded all the time (closing in on 32 in a few months). My stinkin' acne!!!

I agree, you look very young! I'm 39 as well and believe me, with girl/boy twins who will be 14 in may, I think I'm aging by the day! It's killing me. I feel like I'm putting makeup on my mother's eyes in the morning....ewww!

Thank you also for your sweet blog comment...it definately was not my normal blog post! ;-)

Hi, Leah! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I'm so glad you did, because I'm loving yours, too! :)

Ok, so "youth" secrets. I'll be interested to see what people have to say, because I often look so much older than my age in photos. I'm sometimes mistaken for being a decade older than I am. As long as I am in my 20s, I would like to look the part, thankyouverymuch! I don't know of any miracle products, except drinking a tonne of water to keep your skin hydrated. Also, I think the laugh-lines are a good thing! As the lines start to appear on my face, I often find myself hoping they'll be laugh lines and not frown lines! I do not want to permanently look like a grinch! :)

Now, that being said, you look gorgeous and youthful in that photo! Age is really just a feeling, I think. If you feel young, you are young.

Oh, and watching old-skool Sesame Street clips doesn't hurt, either. :)

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

You are only one year older than me. We are young and you look great. But...if you find something that works...let us all know. :) Love your hair BTW

Well, I think you look great! I'm sure you get this a lot, but you are totally rockin' the Kate Gosselin hair ;) I'm scared of teen years with my baby, but I'll be in my 40's when he hits them! Ugh!

Happened upon your blog link from another blog today. I'm going to chime in here. So I started selling Mary Kay only so I could get my 10,000 products cheaper. :) But I'm telling you, they have an anti-aging line (face wash, moisturizer) as well as stuff for facial lines, imperfections, etc. After I've met all these Mary Kay ladies who look about 10 years younger than they are (and they have been using the products for the past 10+ years), I will NEVER use anything else (as I'm 32 now and I'm hoping by the time I get to 42, my skin will still look 32!!!!)

So I say you should check out Mary Kay stuff. It pretty much rocks in the anti-aging department.

Well when you try it all and find the perfect remedy, please let us all know because I am losing the battle over here. LOL

I'm right there with ya! It's hard for me to accept my ever-growing batch of gray hairs.

Sooo, I can prepare to look like a 60 year old in 5 years when my oldest hits 13? OMG I hope not!!!!

I've been using Mary Kay Timewise (pretty much the whole set) since I turned 30. So far so good, but then my mother didn't have any crows feet or wrinkles until she hit menopause, so genes could have something to do with it...

Thanks for stopping by yesterday & your sweet comments about my sewing! Come back for pictures of the skirts next week :)
