Serious Thankfulosity!! ;)

A lil backround... That guy right there (in the middle of those beautiful precious girlz) is my Dad. And for over 30 years I really didn't know him. Then about 4 years ago he contacted me & told me he had given his life to Jesus & asked if I'd be open to seeing him to talk about things.  I. Was. Blown. Away!!. This guy was, well lets just say "the furthest person from a relationship w/ God" in my opinion. A total loss to me... But God knew, & reached into the darkness to reach my dad & totally transformed his life!
Since that time he & I talk regularly & now my 4 babies have a grandad that loves the Lord!! Woooot!
If there's somone in your life that you have written off, or that you have unforgivness for, God has a plan. He knows your heart. His plans to bless you & he wants to reconcile the lost to Himself & your loved ones to you- don't give up believing Him for them! I've got plenty more loved ones on my "hit list" & when I feel discouraged or like it's just to impossble, I look @ this pic & thank God for the new legacy my girls will be a part of!. I never could have even dreamed this big!! In the famous lyrics of Steve Perry"Dont Stop, Believin"!! LYLAS • LA

Thank you for this particular post. It brought tears to my eyes. You see, there is someone in our family's life that needs to find his way to the Lord. That person is like you said, "the furtherest person from a relationship w/ God." I pray all the time that it happens and your post renews my hope. So many other people who also need to know God could very easily be led to Him if just this one person finds Him. What a great thing that would be.

I think its easier for God to reach those that are hardened against him.. the ones that are angry at him.. At least they still care..

The ones that are indifferent are the ones that are the hardest to reach.

When I lived in ND, my roomates mom was so against God. She hated him. She hated the church. She hated the way her daughter behaved. In fact when our pastor, my roomate, and myself went to her families easter party after church her mom offered our pastor beer, and shoved it in his face. Lets just say I NEVER EVER thought she would give her life to God.

Even still my roomate prayed for her mother EVERY day. Every sunday during our open prayer (small church) she'd have everyon pray.

About 9 months after i left, I got the call.. Her mom broke down while working in the nursery and she gave her life to Jesus..

It was then that I knew that God could do anything. That he is there when you are ready. He meets you and loves you right where you at!

So incredible! :) So glad your dad and your girls grand-daddy will be with you forever and ever now! :) Bless his heart! :)

Great pic! Great story! Great post! I keep my mom on my "kind of, sort of" list. She did something horrible that changed my life completely and she has no idea how much it still affects me. I have chosen to be civil and pretend nothing happened, but deep down I haven't forgotten or forgiven. I hope one day God gives my strength to forgive her, but right now I know I can't. Maybe my mom should find the Lord again and realize what she has done. I can only hope & pray!

This is such an awesome story. It is what I have dreamed for certain members of my family. That is it, God is a big God. When we get discouraged, He is looking at the perfect plan.

That is a bummer about the WMT. You can come and help with ours. We love all of the help we can get! If you feel it is a matter of obedience, I would encourage you to be a squeaky wheel.

Blessings.

What a WONDERFUL post!!!

Congratulations on your weight loss!!!! I guarantee you though, the picture makes it look really GOOD and pretty but you could have easily just had a small portion....it wasn't really good at all. I usually try to eat most of our leftovers at other meals and this just got thrown away.....lol

I have had a similar experience with my own father, though yours is more dramatic. Doesn't God's unfailing love just ROCK?!
